Mere Convenience

The degree to which you love the one you love the least is a measure of the degree to which you love the one you claim to love the most. I have never been more convinced.

The degree to which you love the one you love the most is a measure of mere convenience. That has never been an adequate measure of love—certainly not the selfless kind.

The degree to which you love the one you love the least is a reflection of who you really are.
