Better Than We Are

I ponder sometimes how often I may be misunderstood and how often I may misunderstand others because of mistaken assumptions. 1 Corinthians 13 is about putting assumptions aside and not pretending to know anything we really do not know about each other. It’s about seeing and believing the best in others because we humbly acknowledge our inability to comprehend the challenges they face, much less understand the things they actually do, think, and feel. It’s the way God trusts us, allowing us to become something better than we are.
