Well With My Soul

This day in 1944 was the beginning of the end of a war. This day three years ago was the beginning of the end of a war I didn’t even know I was already fighting. The beginning of a year that would take me through the highest highs and the deepest, most excruciating lows. Today I’m deeply grateful that what was gained thoroughly eclipsed what was lost. And the words of this beautiful hymn, especially this version, mean something to me personally. I can genuinely testify that God is good and so very present, and it truly is “well with my  soul.”
